Hospitality web & e-commerce, Melbourne
Web design and Shopify e-commerce for hospitality and drinks brands.
High-performing online stores and websites for drinks brands, venues, and food producers, built to sell and fed by original content. The studio behind the Capricorn Distilling Shopify store, working Australia-wide from Collingwood.
Craft, captured and scaled
An online store built to sell.
A Collingwood studio building websites and Shopify stores for hospitality and drinks brands.
Lucky Boy designs and builds websites and e-commerce stores for hospitality and drinks brands. We rebuilt Capricorn Distilling Co into a high-performing Shopify store, and we manage the ongoing content, campaigns, and product visuals that keep it selling.
Hospitality e-commerce lives and dies on two things: how good the product looks, and how short the path from a social post to a checkout is. Because we also shoot the product and run the social, we build stores that launch full of great imagery and stay fed by a content pipeline. Pricing on our website cost Melbourne post.
What's included
Six things every hospitality web build ships with.
A store built to sell at the core, brand-led design and original imagery on top, the content and campaign wiring that turns traffic into orders.
- 01Shopify e-commerce buildA high-performing online store, the brief we delivered for Capricorn Distilling when we rebuilt their site into a Shopify store. Built to sell: clean product pages, fast checkout, and the integrations a drinks or food brand actually needs.
- 02Product-led merchandisingRanges, bundles, gift packs, and seasonal releases set up to convert. We structure the store so the bestsellers lead, the upsells are obvious, and a new release can go live without a developer.
- 03Brand-led designAn online store that looks like the brand, not a template. We design the site around your identity and original product photography so it feels considered and premium, the difference between a brand people trust and one they bounce from.
- 04Fast and mobile-firstMost hospitality and drinks buying happens on a phone, often mid-scroll from a social post. Every build is fast and mobile-first so the path from a reel to a checkout is short and the store does not lose the sale to load time.
- 05Fed by contentBecause we also shoot the product and run the social, the store launches full of original photography and stays fed with fresh content and campaigns. A store with great product imagery sells; an empty template does not.
- 06Built to drive salesThe whole build is wired to revenue: analytics, tracking, email capture, and the campaign integrations that turn a launch or a seasonal push into orders. A cohesive digital ecosystem, not a standalone site.

Why Collingwood
The web team next to the content team.
Our studio is on Rokeby Street, Collingwood, where the web team sits alongside the photography, video, and social teams. For hospitality and drinks clients that means the store launches with original product photography already shot, and stays fed by the same studio running the content and campaigns.
We work with hospitality businesses Australia-wide, from Melbourne venues to regional distilleries. The store is designed, built, and maintained from the studio, and the content that fills it is captured wherever the product is made.
How we start
From first call to first project, in three steps.
No long forms, no qualifying calls with someone who is not going to do the work. You speak directly with the team who will run your project.
01
A 30-minute scoping call.
You tell us what you are trying to move (a launch, a brand refresh, a revenue target). We tell you whether we are the right agency for it. If we are not, we tell you who is.
02
A fixed-fee proposal.
Inside a week you get a written scope with deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price. Nothing hourly, nothing surprise. If you want to swap something out, we re-scope before anyone signs anything.
03
Kickoff and ship.
Project work usually starts inside two weeks. Retainers start at the top of the following month. Your project lead is in the studio on Rokeby Street and you can call them directly.

A few words from the people we work with.
What began as an initial social media management arrangement has grown and flourished into something far greater.
I don't know whether to be mad that you made me cry for three minutes or to be impressed that you've created something even more special than we imagined. It's absolutely beautiful, a truly special legacy.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The Lucky Boy team are incredible and very professional. They took my website to a whole new level and created a hero video that is a true representation of my brand and is something I will cherish forever.
I've used Lucky Boy for a number of projects. They've always been quick to respond, they're easy going, and they exceed expectations. Few agencies tick all three boxes. I highly recommend them for video, social media, or content work.
They did a fantastic job helping us produce a short promo video for use on our website. The whole process was seamless and stress free for us.
Good to know
Hospitality web design in Melbourne, the questions brands actually ask.
What makes a good hospitality or drinks e-commerce website?
For drinks brands, food producers, and venues, the best online stores are fast, mobile-first, beautifully shot, and wired to sell. They lead with great product photography, make the range easy to buy, and connect to the social and campaign work that drives traffic. We rebuilt Capricorn Distilling Co into a high-performing Shopify store on exactly these principles.
How much does a hospitality e-commerce website cost in Melbourne?
A Shopify store for a drinks or food brand typically runs $8,000 to $25,000 in 2026, depending on the size of the range, custom functionality like subscriptions or age verification, and whether product photography is in scope. A focused venue or producer site sits at the lower end; a larger store with custom features sits higher. Full breakdown on our website cost Melbourne post.
Do you build on Shopify?
Yes. For drinks and food e-commerce, Shopify is usually the right platform: reliable, fast, and packed with the payment, shipping, and marketing integrations a hospitality brand needs. We rebuilt Capricorn into a high-performing Shopify store and manage ongoing content and campaigns on top of it. If your needs point elsewhere, we will say so at the brief.
Can your team handle product photography for the store?
Yes, and it is one of the biggest factors in whether a store sells. Because we also shoot, the store launches full of original product and brand photography rather than supplier shots. See our hospitality photography for the product and brand imagery that makes a drinks or food store convert.
Can we manage the store ourselves?
Yes. Shopify is built for in-house management, so adding products, running a sale, or launching a seasonal release does not need a developer. We hand over a store your team can run day to day, and we are here to manage content, campaigns, and updates as part of an ongoing arrangement if you would rather we did.
Do you also do video, photography, and social for hospitality?
Yes, and a store is strongest when it is fed. We pair the build with hospitality video production, hospitality photography, and ongoing hospitality social media and marketing. Capricorn runs the store, content, and campaigns with us as one program, which is what turns traffic into sales.
