A marketing agency in Melbourne, running strategy and creative under one roof.

Brand, websites, content, video, photography, and paid media produced by one in-house team in Collingwood. Strategy-first marketing for Melbourne businesses that want a single agency owning the whole engine.

Full-service marketing

Strategy, brand, creative, and channels. One studio.

A Melbourne marketing agency that runs the whole engine, not just a slice of it.

Lucky Boy is a Melbourne marketing agency on Rokeby Street, Collingwood. Strategy, brand, website, content, video, photography, and paid media are all run from the same studio by the same team. The integration matters because marketing is not a collection of channels, it is a single system, and that system only compounds when the strategy that informed the brand is the same strategy informing the campaign, the site, the social, and the spend.

Most clients come to us when their marketing is fragmented across freelancers and platform-specialist vendors and the brand has stopped looking like itself across channels. We publish our pricing, work fixed-fee against agreed scope, and the same team that scopes the work is the team that ships it. The point is a long relationship, not a one-off engagement.

Why Collingwood

A Melbourne marketing agency that works from one room in Collingwood.

The studio is in the inner-north creative quarter, ten minutes from the CBD. Strategy, design, photography, video, and paid media all sit at the same desks, which is what makes the integration real instead of a slogan. A campaign that needs a positioning revisit, a script, a shoot, a landing page, a media plan, and a weekly read can be planned in one meeting and produced down one hallway.

For Melbourne businesses, the practical version is fewer briefing meetings, faster decisions, and a single agency that knows the brand. For interstate and regional clients, the same team owns the work end to end without the usual handover risk between strategy, creative, and media.

How we start

From first call to first project, in three steps.

No long forms, no qualifying calls with someone who is not going to do the work. You speak directly with the team who will run your project.

  1. 01

    A 30-minute scoping call.

You tell us what you are trying to move (a launch, a brand refresh, a revenue target). We tell you whether we are the right agency for it. If we are not, we tell you who is.

  2. 02

    A fixed-fee proposal.

Inside a week you get a written scope with deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price. Nothing hourly, nothing surprise. If you want to swap something out, we re-scope before anyone signs anything.

  3. 03

    Kickoff and ship.

Project work usually starts inside two weeks. Retainers start at the top of the following month. Your project lead is in the studio on Rokeby Street and you can call them directly.

Good to know

Marketing agency questions Melbourne buyers actually ask.

What does a full-service marketing agency actually do?

Marketing is the job of getting the right message in front of the right audience in the right channel at the right time. A real marketing agency owns every piece of that: the strategy that decides who the message is for, the brand that decides what it looks and sounds like, the website it points at, the content that runs on social and EDM, the paid media that puts it in front of people, and the measurement that tells you what is working. Some agencies do one of those and sub the rest out. We do all of it in one studio in Collingwood, because the integration is the whole point.

How is a marketing agency different from a creative or branding agency?

A branding agency builds the identity. A creative agency produces the work (the brand, the film, the photo, the site, the campaign). A marketing agency owns the strategy and the channels: who, what, where, when, and how much. Lucky Boy is honest about being all three. The strategy decides the brand, the brand informs the creative, the creative gets distributed through the channels, the channels report back to the strategy. Splitting these jobs across three agencies is how marketing becomes incoherent. Keeping them in one studio is how it gets compounded.

Do you run paid media as well as create the work?

Yes. We plan, produce, and run paid campaigns on Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The creative is made in-house against the channel and the audience, the account management is done by the same team, and the reporting comes from the people who actually made the work, not a separate media buyer disconnected from the brand. Media spend sits with you directly (we are not in the middle of your ad invoices), and our fee covers the strategy, creative, account work, and reporting.

Are you a Melbourne marketing agency or a Collingwood one?

Both. The studio is on Rokeby Street in Collingwood, the inner-north creative quarter. Most of our clients are based across Melbourne, with a steady mix in regional Victoria, interstate, and a handful internationally. When people search for a Melbourne marketing agency they usually mean an agency that gets the city well enough to understand the audience, the channels, and the media market here. We do, because we live and work in it.

Do you do strategy, or just execution?

Strategy first, every engagement. Marketing without strategy is spend. We start with a written positioning and channel plan, signed off before any production begins. That document covers audience, channel mix, message hierarchy, creative principles, and a measurement framework so you know what we are reading at the end of every month. The strategy is shared with you and yours to keep.

How much does a Melbourne marketing agency cost?

We publish pricing on the relevant package pages. Retainers typically run $5,000 to $25,000 per month depending on scope. Brand and website project work is fixed-fee ($5,000 Brand Starter up to $60,000+ for full brand-and-website builds). Campaign work is scoped against the brief and the media plan. Paid media management is a flat monthly fee, not a percentage of spend, so we are never incentivised to push the spend higher than the strategy supports. Everything is fixed-fee against agreed scope.

Retainer or project?

Both, depending on the work. Project briefs (brand build, website build, campaign launch, film) run fixed-fee against scope. Ongoing marketing (monthly content, social, EDM, paid media, reporting) runs on retainer. Most relationships start as a project and roll into a retainer once the foundations are in place. No minimum retainer length, no auto-renewal traps, you can pause or stop any month end.

How long until the marketing actually works?

Depends on the channel. Paid media can show signal inside the first two weeks once the creative is dialled. Organic social and SEO take longer (3 to 6 months for compounding signal, 6 to 12 months for category authority). Brand is the slowest and most powerful lever, working over years not months. We are honest about this in the strategy doc up front so the expectation is set against the reality, not against the pitch.

Who do you work with?

Independent and family-run businesses, scaling startups, professional services firms, and a handful of established brands going through a rebuild. Most are based in Melbourne, with a steady stream of interstate, regional Victorian, and overseas clients. Common thread: they take the brand seriously, value craft, and want a long relationship with one studio rather than a churn of agencies. Less common fit: pure price-led briefs, or businesses that already know what they want produced and just want a vendor to push the buttons.

Will I own the strategy and the creative?

Yes. Strategy documents, working files, locked exports, raw photography and footage, source code for the site, and editable brand assets all transfer to you on final invoice. The work is yours, the IP is yours, the strategy is yours, and you can take it to any agency or freelancer in the future without paying us for permission.
