Why Collingwood
A video studio with the brand team in the next room.
Our studio is on Rokeby Street, Collingwood. Director, DOP, sound, edit, and grade all sit in the same space as the brand and design team. That matters for brand video because the grade, the type, the music, and the pacing of the film all have to hold to the visual system the brand sits inside.
For Melbourne brand clients, the studio is a 5 to 20 minute drive from most of the city. Easy to walk into your venue or store for a shoot day, easy for your team to drop into the studio for a screening or grade review.
How we start
From first call to first project, in three steps.
No long forms, no qualifying calls with someone who is not going to do the work. You speak directly with the team who will run your project.
01
A 30-minute scoping call.
You tell us what you are trying to move (a launch, a brand refresh, a revenue target). We tell you whether we are the right agency for it. If we are not, we tell you who is.
02
A fixed-fee proposal.
Inside a week you get a written scope with deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price. Nothing hourly, nothing surprise. If you want to swap something out, we re-scope before anyone signs anything.
03
Kickoff and ship.
Project work usually starts inside two weeks. Retainers start at the top of the following month. Your project lead is in the studio on Rokeby Street and you can call them directly.

What brand video has done.

Straight from the clients.
A few words from the people we work with.
What began as an initial social media management arrangement has grown and flourished into something far greater.
I don't know whether to be mad that you made me cry for three minutes or to be impressed that you've created something even more special than we imagined. It's absolutely beautiful, a truly special legacy.
I feel like the luckiest girl ever to have found Lucky Boy Agency at a pivotal point in my business. The team have rebranded our company with a fresh, modern, authentically 'us' look.
We recently worked with Karleigh and the team at Lucky Boy Agency on a shoot for Sommerstone Property Group, producing around 40 videos. We couldn't be happier with how it all came together.
Karleigh and Jake have been incredible bringing our brand to life. When we were searching for an agency, Karleigh took the time to understand our business, our goals, and put together a bespoke plan.
An absolute delight to work with Karleigh and the team at Lucky Boy Agency. Our TVC delivered on time and to budget. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Lucky Boy Agency. From start to finish, the team absolutely nailed it. The branding and website they created for us have been a total game-changer.
We recently used Lucky Boy for some videography and had an amazing experience from start to finish.
Karleigh and Jake are an amazing duo. I'm so happy we found each other. We have been working together for the past couple of years and they have helped the business grow a lot.
If I could give 10 stars I would. The Lucky Boy team are incredible and very professional. They took my website to a whole new level and created a hero video that is a true representation of my brand and is something I will cherish forever.
I've used Lucky Boy for a number of projects. They've always been quick to respond, they're easy going, and they exceed expectations. Few agencies tick all three boxes. I highly recommend them for video, social media, or content work.
They did a fantastic job helping us produce a short promo video for use on our website. The whole process was seamless and stress free for us.
Good to know
Brand video in Melbourne, the questions buyers actually ask.
What is brand video production?
Brand video production is the long-form story-led video work that anchors a brand campaign — hero films for the homepage, launch campaigns, lookbook video, founder origin stories, and the cinematic content that gets cut into ad assets. Different from content video (which is volume-led, social-cadence work) and corporate video (which is talking-head, B2B-led work) because the goal is brand-building first, with conversion as the second-order effect.
How much does a brand film cost in Melbourne?
A scripted, multi-deliverable Melbourne brand film typically costs $9,000 to $25,000 in 2026. The lower end is two shoot days with a small crew and a tight edit; the upper end is a director-led production with a writer, custom grade, and three or more deliverable cuts. Most launches and rebrands sit at the upper end because the asset has to do real work across paid and organic for the next twelve to twenty-four months. Full pricing on our [video production cost Melbourne](/blog/video-production-cost-melbourne) post.
How long does a brand film take to produce?
Brief to first cut is usually six to twelve weeks for a bracket-three brand film. Pre-production runs two to three weeks (concept, script, casting, location scouting), shoot is one to two days, post-production runs two to four weeks (edit, grade, sound design, music, revisions). Bracket-four campaign films with talent and a custom score run twelve to twenty weeks end-to-end.
Do you write the script and concept?
Yes, that is most of the work. We brief into a written treatment with a director and a writer in the room before any crew is booked. The treatment locks the story, the visual references, the talent direction, and the deliverables — so the shoot is execution, not invention. Most brand films we ship were written, storyboarded, and signed off before the camera turned on.
Can you handle talent casting and styling?
Yes. We work with Melbourne casting agencies for talent (actors, presenters, models) and have an in-house roster of stylists, hair and make-up, and prop sourcing for hospitality, retail, and product shoots. Talent and styling are quoted as a separate line item so you see the trade-off explicitly rather than buried in a lump-sum.
Where do you shoot brand films?
Our Collingwood studio for product, lookbook, controlled-set work. On-location for venues, lifestyle, hospitality, and retail brands needing real-world context. We pull council permits across City of Melbourne, City of Yarra, and City of Port Phillip for street and public-space shoots. Drone work where the shot calls for it, run by a CASA-licensed pilot.
Will the brand film match the rest of the brand?
Yes, that is the point of having brand and video in the same studio. The grade, the type, the music, and the pacing all hold to the brand identity work upstream. If you are still building the brand, our brand team can run the identity work in parallel with the film — the [Custom brand-and-website tier](/branding-packages) bundles the two from $25,000.
What deliverables do we get?
A typical brand film delivers: a 90-second to 2-minute hero film for the website, a 60-second cut for paid social, a 30-second cut for pre-roll, a 15-second cut for short-form, vertical 9:16 versions of the social cuts for Reels and TikTok, plus stills coverage from the same shoot day and master files for future cutting. All transferred on final invoice with full usage rights.
