Event videographer, Melbourne

An event videographer who hands you a sizzle reel before the guests leave.

Conferences, trade shows, launches, and activations. Roaming coverage, same-day cuts, multi-camera where it counts, and a long-form recap film. One crew, video and stills from the same booking.

Live coverage, same-day cuts

Event video that posts while the room is still buzzing.

A Collingwood video studio for Melbourne conferences, trade shows, launches, and activations.

Lucky Boy is a video production studio on Rokeby Street, Collingwood. Our event videographers work the floor and our editors work alongside them, so the energy of the room becomes a cut your team can post the same day. Then we follow with the long-form recap film that earns its place on the website and in next year pitch.

We have run large-scale event delivery for the [Brisbane Truck Show](/work/hvia) with real-time content across the floor, venue storytelling for [Hilton Surfers Paradise](/work/hilton), and ongoing event coverage for [Fraser & Partners](/work/fraser-and-partners). Day rates from $1,500, full pricing on our [video production cost Melbourne](/blog/video-production-cost-melbourne) post.

Why Collingwood

An event crew with an edit suite ready to go.

Our studio is on Rokeby Street, Collingwood, with edit and grade suites that sit ready while the crew is on the floor. That is what makes same-day delivery work: footage comes off the camera and straight into a cut, rather than waiting in a queue for a freelancer to get to it next week.

For Melbourne events, the studio is a 5 to 20 minute drive from the CBD, Southbank, and the major venues. Easy to scout your space ahead of the day, easy to turn coverage around fast once the cameras are rolling.

How we start

From first call to first project, in three steps.

No long forms, no qualifying calls with someone who is not going to do the work. You speak directly with the team who will run your project.

  1. 01

    A 30-minute scoping call.

You tell us what you are trying to move (a launch, a brand refresh, a revenue target). We tell you whether we are the right agency for it. If we are not, we tell you who is.

  2. 02

    A fixed-fee proposal.

Inside a week you get a written scope with deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price. Nothing hourly, nothing surprise. If you want to swap something out, we re-scope before anyone signs anything.

  3. 03

    Kickoff and ship.

Project work usually starts inside two weeks. Retainers start at the top of the following month. Your project lead is in the studio on Rokeby Street and you can call them directly.

Good to know

Hiring an event videographer in Melbourne, the questions buyers actually ask.

How much does an event videographer cost in Melbourne?

An event videographer in Melbourne runs $1,500 to $3,500 per day in 2026. A solo videographer covering a half-day event sits at the lower end; a multi-camera crew across a full-day conference or trade show with a same-day sizzle reel sits at the upper end. Multi-day activations and product launches are quoted as a project. Full pricing on our [video production cost Melbourne](/blog/video-production-cost-melbourne) post.

Can you deliver a sizzle reel on the day of the event?

Yes. For conferences, launches, and activations we run an on-site editor alongside the videographer so a 30 to 60 second sizzle cut is handed over before guests leave. Your social channels post while the event is still live and the audience is still in the room. The long-form recap film follows a few days later with full grade and sound.

What types of events do you cover?

Conferences, trade shows, product launches, brand activations, galas, and corporate functions. We delivered large-scale event coverage for the [Brisbane Truck Show](/work/hvia), one of the biggest trade events in the southern hemisphere, with real-time content across the floor, plus venue and event storytelling for [Hilton Surfers Paradise](/work/hilton) and ongoing event work for [Fraser & Partners](/work/fraser-and-partners). We do not shoot weddings.

Do you travel for events outside Melbourne?

Yes. The crew is Collingwood-based but packs to travel, and a lot of our event work has been on the road: the Brisbane Truck Show in Queensland and the Hilton work on the Gold Coast were both run by the Melbourne crew. Travel and accommodation are quoted as a separate line so you see the trade-off explicitly.

Can you run multiple cameras at a conference?

Yes. Keynotes, stage reveals, and panels are shot multi-camera so the edit has cutaways, reaction, and detail that a single operator cannot capture alone. We scope the number of cameras and operators against the run sheet, so the crew matches the moments that actually matter rather than blanket-covering everything.

What deliverables do we get from an event shoot?

A typical event package covers a same-day sizzle reel for social, a long-form recap film for the website, a set of vertical 9:16 cuts for Reels and TikTok, and stills coverage from the same crew on the same day. Master files and full usage rights transfer on final invoice. If you need the event film to feed a bigger campaign, we can scope that as [event video production](/brand-video-production-melbourne).

How far ahead do we need to book?

Two to three weeks is comfortable for a single-camera event; four or more for a multi-camera conference or a multi-day activation where we need to scout the venue and build a run-sheet-driven shot plan. We can move faster for last-minute coverage, but earlier booking means the videographer who knows your brand is the one on the floor.
